Our Mission
Holiday Home Camp provides a safe, fun, and supportive summer camp experience
where children and teens can grow, learn, and be themselves.
A Place to Grow
At our beautiful lakeside camp, youth enjoy classic camp activities like
swimming, games, campfires, nature hikes, and arts and crafts! While also learning important life skills such as teamwork, communication, responsibility, and confidence.
Many of our campers are experiencing nature, safety, and positive role models
for the first time, and our trained staff are dedicated to creating an environment
where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged.
More Than One Summer
Campers can return year after year, building friendships and strengthening their skills over time. As they grow, older youth may join our ELITE Teen Leadership Program, continuing their development as leaders throughout the year.
Accessible for Every Family
We work closely with families to make camp affordable and accessible, so every child has the opportunity to experience the joy, growth, and impact of camp.

First-Time Parent FAQ
Is Holiday Home Camp a good fit for first-time campers?
Yes! Holiday Home Camp welcomes many first-time overnight campers each summer.
Our program is designed to help children feel safe, supported, and confident as
they experience camp life for the first time. Our trained counselors focus on
building strong relationships, establishing clear routines, and creating a
positive, encouraging environment.
How do you help campers who feel nervous or homesick?
Feeling nervous or homesick is completely normal. Our counselors are trained to
support campers through the adjustment period using consistency, reassurance,
and positive encouragement. We focus on connection, comfort, and confidence—
especially during the first few days of camp.
What is your homesickness philosophy?
Feeling homesick is a normal and healthy part of growing up,
especially during a child’s first overnight camp experience. At Holiday Home Camp,
we view homesickness as an opportunity to build
confidence, resilience, and independence.
Our trained counselors are proactive and attentive, helping campers stay engaged,
connected, and supported throughout the day. We focus on strong relationships,
predictable routines, and encouraging campers to participate in activities where
they can experience success and belonging.
Rather than focusing on what campers are missing at home, we help them stay present
and confident in the moment. Most campers adjust quickly and leave camp feeling proud
of themselves for trying something new. Our team will always communicate with
families if additional support is needed.
If a camper experiences intense or ongoing homesickness, families will first receive a call from camp leadership. During that call, we will share how your camper is doing and highlight the activities, friendships, and moments of success they are enjoying at camp. When appropriate, we will then invite you to speak with your camper so you can help reinforce those positive experiences and encourage them with familiar support.
Most campers adjust quickly and leave camp feeling proud of themselves for trying something new. Our team will always partner closely with families and communicate when additional support is needed. Above all, we want every camper to feel safe, supported, and capable.
What does a typical day at camp look like?
Each day includes a balance of active fun and calm moments such as swimming, games,
arts and crafts, nature activities, campfires, meals, and rest time. A predictable
daily structure helps campers feel comfortable and confident.
Who supervises my child at camp?
Campers are supervised at all times by trained, caring counselors who live on-site
and work closely with their cabin groups. Our leadership team and on-site health
staff provide additional oversight and support throughout the day and night.
What safety measures are in place?
Safety is our top priority. Holiday Home Camp follows clear supervision guidelines,
age-appropriate programming, water safety procedures, health protocols, and a
positive behavior approach centered on respect and community.
What if my child needs extra support?
We encourage families to share any information that will help us best support their
child. Our team works closely with parents to understand each camper’s needs and
determine how we can create the most positive camp experience possible.
What should my child pack for camp?
After registration, families receive a detailed packing list that includes clothing,
bedding, toiletries, and optional comfort items to help campers feel prepared and
comfortable.
How do campers communicate with home?
Camp is a time for campers to build independence and focus on friendships and
activities. Families receive information before camp about communication guidelines
and how emergencies or important updates are handled.
Can siblings or friends be placed together?
We do our best to honor cabin placement requests whenever possible, while also
creating positive group dynamics that support all campers.
Is financial assistance available?
Yes. Holiday Home Camp works closely with families to make camp affordable and
accessible. We are committed to ensuring that finances are not a barrier to
attending camp.
What is the ELITE Teen Program?
The ELITE Teen Program is our year-round leadership program for older youth who want
to continue growing as leaders beyond the summer camp experience. The program meets
monthly and focuses on leadership development, life skills, and personal growth.
